Ms. Serena Nakano has been an associate at the Goldberg Law Group, LLC, since 2008. She primarily handles the firm’s family law cases, including but not limited to, divorce, child custody and visitation issues, and grandparent guardianship and visitation cases.
Ms. Nakano received her juris doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2007. During law school, she obtained a Certificate in Child and Family Law from the school, and was an Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711 Law Student at the Loyola Civitas ChildLaw Clinic, where she represented children in dependency cases in the Child Protection Department of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. Prior to law school, Ms. Nakano earned her Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington; and interned and volunteered at CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), serving children who were allegedly abused and/or neglected.
