We Must Protect and Defend
Our System of Justice...

honored and privileged to hold the most important job in the nation. We are proud to be in the same profession as John Marshall, John Quincy Adams and Abraham Lincoln. We are trial lawyers. By reason of our calling, we have been entrusted with the great and grave responsibility of representing the weak against the mighty, the carelessly injured against the careless, the disadvantaged against the privileged, the powerless against the powerful and the wronged against the wrong. We are the people in charge of leveling the playing field. There can be no greater trust.

s long as there are lawyers willing to challenge insurance companies, manufacturers of defective products and others who exert their greed and power over the public good, it is evident that those interests will generate powerful public relation machines that will attempt to discredit the civil justice system and the attorneys who work to protect it.

accept that burden. The justice system is far too valuable to lose, too precious to compromise and too important as a voice of the people. The paraplegic injured by a careless driver understands, the child maimed by a defective product understands and the injured father no longer able to feed his family understands. So must every citizen understand their stake in our American system of justice, for it is the envy of the world.

t Goldberg, we are united in our purpose and resolve to preserve and defend the system of laws we hold sacred. For it is only in a court of law- the arena of the conscience- that there can be fair opportunity to do battle for full and complete justice and to vindicate the rights of the aggrieved.
